Synopsis
While diagnostic cardiac catheterization and angiography has given way to other non-invasive imaging modalities, interventional cardiac catheterization has become more prevalent. This assumes an even greater knowledge of the angiographic appearance of various congenital cardiac and vascular malformations that may be treated in the catheterization laboratory. This atlas is a quick, interactive, visual reference for many common and rare congenital defects for the interventional cardiologist. It also serves as an introduction to angiographic techniques for cardiology and radiology fellows in training and a reference for pediatric and adult cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons who may treat these defects. This CD-ROM runs on a Windows for PC platform only. |
