Synopsis
This CD-Rom program is designed for the sonographer and/or physician who has a desire to assess their level of knowledge in recognizing commonly seen carotid disease and accurately interpreting carotid duplex/color examinations. It begins with a review of normal carotid characteristics and diagnostic criteria using duplex/color flow imaging techniques. Fourteen carotid case studies with a brief history and physical examination are provided to assess one’s ability to recognize commonly seen pathology and accurately interpret examinations. 5.0 AMA Cat. 1 CME credits ($50.00 CME processing fee). A minimum of three months experience performing and/or interpreting carotid duplex/color examinations is recommended before completing this program.The Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians. The Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute designates the described educational activities for up to the indicated credit hours in Category I of the Physician's Recognition Award for the American Medical Association. Each physician should claim only those hours that he/she actually spent in the educational activity. |
