Synopsis
Objectives

- Analyze normal / abnormal waveform characteristics.
- Incorporate diagnostic criteria to address patient selection for carotid endarterectomy as indicated by the NASCET / ACAS studies.

Target Audience
The target audience for this tape are physicans, sonographers, and medical professionals who are at a beginning level of performing or interpreting carotid duplex/color examinations. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to) those whose specialty include radiology, internal medicine, cardiology, and general/vascular surgery.
