Please note: There has been confusion on whether this is the most recent edition. This is the most current edition of this title. It was originally published in 2005 and has been subsequently reprinted. You may see a 2006 date on the copyright page of the book – this does not indicate a newer edition, only a reprint date.
Pegasus Lectures has reprinted this title under the name:
Essentials of Echocardiography and Cardiac Hemodynamics: An Illustrative Guide, Second Edition (Spiral-bound); 2nd edition (April 3, 2006)
According to the author Mark Harry, the Pegagus Lectures publication is not a different book. It has only been repackaged by Pegasus, and is indicated by a slightly different cover.
There is no chapter on “LV Optimization.” The new chapter in this book is called “Pacemaker Optimization.”
Essentials of Echocardiography combines the content of Mark Harry’s earlier books, The Cardiac Doppler Hemodynamic Workbook and The Basic Echocardiography Workbook, into one illustrative guide with a new chapter on pacemaker optimization.
It provides a basic overview of instrumentation, cardiac anatomy, M-mode, 2D, and Doppler principles. In addition, there are chapters on how to estimate the following: cardiac pressures, aortic stenosis severity, aortic regurgitation severity, mitral stenosis severity, mitral regurgitation severity and LV diastolic filling.
Complete with high quality black and white illustrations and Doppler tracings.
