Synopsis
Objectives: Describe the mechanisms, clinical classification of severity, and methods of treatment for heart failure patients; determine the use of echocardiography to assess left ventricular function in heart failure patients; understand the use of M-mode, pulsed-wave and continuous wave Doppler, including tissue Doppler imaging, to determine left ventricular electromechanical function.
