How long will it take to receive my order and how much will it cost?
  • Add desired items to your shopping cart and use the shopping cart's shipping calculator to find out delivery times and shipping costs. You can always remove these items from your cart, and there is no commitment to make a purchase.
  • Freight charges and estimated transit times are calculated from published UPS and Federal Express information, based on weight, speed, and your location relative to Minnesota.
  • The projected delivery date generated by the shipping calculator helps to give a reasonable expectation of when you should receive your order. It is our best estimate, not a guarantee. If in doubt, or if time is critical, reach us by e-mail or phone:(888) 999-9174 / (612) 925-2053 from 8 AM - 5 PM CDT.
  • Delivery time does not include the day of order. The day of order is considered to be any order placed between 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM CDT. We begin processing your order on the next business day.
  • Delivery time varies on international shipments.
  • If there is a stock problem (publisher out-of-stock, out-of-print title, not yet released title, etc.) we will notify you within 1 business day by e-mail.
  • If multiple titles are ordered, your order will be shipped complete. Any delayed titles (publisher out-of-stock, out-of-print title, not yet released title, etc.) will not hold up a UPS Shipment within the continental United States. For international and expedited orders, we recommend that you have everything shipped together. You will incur a shipping charge for each additional shipment if you choose to have items shipped as they become available. We will notify you of any problems.
  • We ship only to street addresses, with the exception of APO and FPO addresses. No P.O. Boxes, please.
  • Saturday and Sunday deliveries are NOT an option via the cardiotext.com online shopping cart. However, we may be able to arrange for such deliveries, depending upon your location. Please call us at (888) 999-9174 for further information.
  • Shipments to Minnesota and Connecticut are subject to Minnesota sales tax and Connecticut sales tax, respectively.
  • International Shipping Terms and Conditions: Our book prices and shipping charges do not include any possible duties, taxes, and/or administrative fees for customs clearance which may be charged by your home country. We have no way of controlling or predicting these charges as they vary by country. Therefore, it is your responsibility to pay any duties, taxes and/or fees charged by your home country upon delivery of your order. If you refuse to pay any of these local charges on your shipment, thereby refusing the shipment, you will be charged by Cardiotext for the UPS or Federal Express freight costs that Cardiotext incurs for 1) the original shipment to your country 2) the return trip back to the United States and 3) and any local customs fees that may be incurred. You hereby acknowledge responsibility for paying any additional charges that may be assessed upon delivery.

UPS Next Day Air
  • Guaranteed on-time delivery by 10:30 a.m., 12:00 noon, or the end of next business day depending on location.

UPS Next Day Air Saver
  • Guaranteed next business day on-time delivery by 3:00 p.m. to commercial destinations where UPS Next Day Air® delivery is committed by 10:30 a.m.

  • Guaranteed on-time next business day delivery by 4:30 p.m. to commercial destinations where UPS Next Day Air delivery is committed by 12:00 noon.

  • Shipments to residential locations within the Next Day Air Saver area are delivered by end of next business day.

  • Available in the 48 contiguous states.

  • Not available to destinations where UPS Next Day Air is committed for end of day delivery.

UPS 2nd Day Air
  • Guaranteed Second business day delivery to all 50 states and Puerto Rico by the end of the second business day.

  • Deliveries to certain locations in Alaska may require additional time in transit.

UPS 3 Day Select
  • Guaranteed Three-day delivery within three business days to every U.S. address in the 48 contiguous states.

UPS Ground
  • Guaranteed day of delivery in the 48 contiguous states.


International Shipping Options

International Priority (Either UPS Worldwide Saver or Fedex International Priority)

  • Time-definite delivery typically in 1 to 3 business days (Monday–Friday).

  • Reach major cities in Europe by 10:30 a.m. typically in 2 business days.

  • Door-to-door, customs-cleared service.


International Budget (Either UPS Worldwide Expedited or FedEx International Economy)
  • Delivery typically in 2 to 5 business days (Monday–Friday).

  • Door-to-door, customs-cleared service.

 

How can I change the delivery address after I have placed my order?

In many cases, Cardiotext can have your package re-routed to a different shipping address even after we have sent out the package. There is a $15.00 charge for ths service. This service is available only by contacting Cardiotext at (888) 999-9174, or info@cardiotext.com.

 

Special Handling

Sometimes you’ll need a book immediately, or in your hands by a certain date. Use the Special Handling form on the Shipping Information portion of the checkout to tell us the exact date or special circumstances of your order and we will do what it takes to get the order to you by the requested date. You may also call us at (888) 999-9174 with any special instructions or requests.

 

Payment Methods

Cardiotext accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express for all domestic purchases.

For corporate customers, we offer customized billing options such as purchase orders, government purchasing cards, and IMPAC. Contact info@cardiotext.com if you would like use one of these customized options.

How do I return my order?

We ordinarily accept returns on items that are in brand-new condition. For most products, the purchase must have been made within the last 60 days.

If your original order was over $99.00 and qualified for free freight, and a subsequent return causes your net purchase to be less than $99.00, we will credit your account for the cost of the book, less $5.00 per each item returned.

For a return other than that for a defective product, any shipping charges or duties paid by the customer are not refundable.

Returns will be refunded in the form of the original payment method.

Please fill out a Return Authorization Request. We will send you a return authorization number response within one business day. This authorization is valid for sixty (60) days from the date of your invoice. Returns made after that date will not be accepted. Returns made without prior authorization will be refused and not credited.

Additional information on Gulfcoast Ultrasound product returns:
The purchase must have been made within the last 10 days. Opened software is not returnable.

Additional information on Dr. Know product returns:
Customers are eligible to receive a refund (minus a 10% administrative fee) on any Dr. Know software product within 30 days of when the product was purchased. The product must be uninstalled from all computers that it was installed on and all product materials (including CDs, DVDs, packaging, downloaded files, activation codes, etc) that the customer received must be returned to Cardiotext. Downloaded files must be deleted from all computers on which they reside. Please contact Cardiotext for a return authorization prior to any returns.

 

Problems with software you purchased?

Please note that Cardiotext is a reseller - the products that we sell are published and produced by other companies. Should you have any technical issues with software or any multimedia related product, we will do our best to answer any questions you may have. If we cannot answer your question, we may refer you directly to the manufacturer for any technical resolution.

Special Procedure for Gulfcoast Ultrasound Software products: For product defects and/or device incompatibility issues concerning Gulfcoast Ultrasound product, please direct your inquiries to the Gulfcoast Ultrasound technical support staff within 10 days of purchase to determine exchange status. They can be reached at (800) 619-1900. If the product is found to be defective, Gulfcoast will send you a replacement product at no charge.

How do I search for a book?

General search tips

  • Try to omit special characters (such as apostrophes, dashes, commas, parentheses, and quotes) if you are getting no results.
  • Instead of entering every word of a very long title, try entering just a few of the most unusual words.
  • For titles with numbers, try spelling the number or use it numerically. For example try "7" or "seven" to cover all possibilities.
  • To narrow the results, click on "Advanced Search Mode" in the "find books" box on the left-hand side of the home page. Then you can choose the "Start of title" option and perform your search.
  • Use "*" as the wild card indicator either before or after the core word or number. For example, "Fitz*" or "*gerald" will both retrieve Fitzgerald.
  • You can sort your search results either 1) alphabetically by title or 2) alphabetically within year of publication, with the latest year first. Click on "Advanced Search Mode" in the "find books" box on the left-hand side of the home page. Then you can choose the "Pub Date" or "Title" option from the "Sort" drop-down list and perform your search.
  • Articles such as "the," "an" and "a" are optional.
  • Searches are not case-sensitive.

 

Quick Search Mode
The Quick Search Mode is enabled by default.

  • By Title. Enter any combination of title words. The order of words is not important. Use "*" as the wild card indicator.
  • By Author
    • Use first name, last name, or both--the order is not important. Try including or excluding the author's middle initial to vary your results. Titles with multiple authors will be found, e.g. searching for "Strunk and White" will retrieve The Elements of Style.
    • Use "*" as the wild card indicator either before or after the core name. For example, "Fitz*" or "*gerald" will both retrieve Fitzgerald.
  • By ISBN (International Standard Book Number)
    • An ISBN is not required, but it is useful for retrieving an exact result.
    • If you don't know the entire ISBN you can use the wildcard key "*" before or after your core number. For example, 002907* gets you 002907052x and 0029072115.
    • Dashes and spaces are optional.
    • Selecting this option will perfom a speedy search.

 

Advanced Search Mode
You may enter the Advanced Search Mode by clicking on "Advanced Search Mode" in the "find books" box on the left-hand side of the home page.

  • All of the Quick Search Mode options, plus ...
  • By Keyword. Keywords will search title, subtitle, author, publisher and subject. Enter any combination of keywords. The order of words is not important.
  • By Start of title. Enter the exact start of title. This narrows your results and provides you with quick results.
  • Sort by
    • Title. This will produce a list of titles that match your search criteria in alphabetical order.
    • Pub Date. This will list the titles from most recent to least recent.
  • Boolean
    • Boolean searches only apply to searches performed where the title, author, or keyword option is selected and more than one search word is entered.
    • And. If you select "And" (it is the default), the search results must contain all of the search words you entered.
    • Or. Selecting "Or" will match all results retrieved by any of the words. It usually generates a long list of results, but can be useful when you are unsure of the spelling of one of the words.

 

How do I order?

Cardiotext's database is easy to use; just put in your title, or author, or even just a keyword, and press "search." A list of titles based on your criteria will appear. Select any books you wish to purchase and they will be dropped into your shopping cart where you can make any last minute changes. If everything meets your approval, you will be then directed to checkout, where the final order processing will take place.

 

How do I use a purchase order?

Cardiotext offers customers the additional choice of placing orders using purchase orders, in addition to credit cards.

For current Cardiotext customers wishing to use purchase orders:

1) Please e-mail us at info@cardiotext.com or call (888) 999-9174, and note your account number to us. We will use current billing and shipping information for that account. Please note in your communication if there are any changes.

2) Setting up your new on-line Cardiotext account will take a day or two. We'll let you know by e-mail when you can start using purchase orders for on-line purchases.

3) Orders can still be placed by credit card pending authorization.

For new customers wishing to use purchase orders:

  1. Please sign in.
  2. Please fill in the information on Account Information page.
  3. Please mail or fax to us on your company letterhead three credit references including your bank information. A notice of account authorization will be e-mailed to you giving you the opportunity to use purchase orders in the future.
  4. Account terms are Net 30 days.
  5. Orders can always be placed by credit card pending authorization.

 

What if I have a question on my order?

How do I use a gift certificate?

  1. Look at the upper right corner of your gift certificate and note the 10-digit Gift Certificate code.
  2. Check that the gift certificate has not expired.
  3. Go to http://www.cardiotext.com.
  4. Select item(s) to purchase.
  5. When ready to check-out, press the "Proceed to Checkout" button below the shipping calculator on the shopping cart page.
  6. Create an account, or sign in as an existing user if a returning customer.
  7. Choose shipping address and delivery option.
  8. On screen with payment entry options there is a place to enter your Gift Certificate code or promotional code (pictured below)
  9. Enter your 10-digit Gift Certificate code (noted in step 1).
  10. If your purchase exceeds the amount of your gift certificate, you must pay the balance with a credit card.
  11. If you did not use all of your gift certificate for this purchase, its remaining value will be stored for your next visit.

 

How do I get a quote?

Will you find a book for me?

To get a quick answer to your book request without searching the catalog, let the professional researchers at Cardiotext do the work for you. Just enter your information on the Let us search form and submit - we'll get back to you within 24 hours and at that point you can make the determination whether to order or not.

 

How does "Buy Together And Save" work?

  • $5.00 maximum savings per unique set, regardless of quantity purchased.
  • $5.00 savings are available only for orders placed online.
  • Pairings may change from day to day, and are dependent on stock quantities and purchase patterns.
  • If you return a book for a refund that was purchased using the "buy together" feature, the refund will be less $5.00.
